CHÂTEAU WEDDING IN CHARENTE, FRANCE
A wedding at Château de la Couronne in Charente. Ceremony under old trees in the private park, dinner outside on the lawns as the light faded into candlelight.

About This Story
The gown came first. Structured, almost architectural, hanging against a gilt mirror in a room that has not changed much in two hundred years. Someone had a Super 8 camera running, which felt right. A house like this does not really belong on a memory card.
Dinner was laid in a room built for exactly this. Chandeliers, a long table set with roses, candlelight taking over as the evening went on. Outside, the avenue leading up to the château is lined with trees that have clearly stood there for a very long time — the kind of place where slowing down does not take any effort.
